BILOXI, Miss. (September 1, 2016) – September will mark the official launch of Mississippi Gulf Coast Restaurant Month. From Sept. 1-30, locals and visitors will have a unique opportunity to enjoy special fixed price menus at Beau Rivage and other Mississippi Gulf Coast restaurants with $1 from each special menu meal sold going to two local charities.
Popular restaurants, award-winning chefs and talented wine professionals team up to support Extra Table, a non-profit organization that supplies healthy food in bulk to local food pantries and soup kitchens, and Café Climb, a teaching café for at-risk youth. The month-long event will present incredible dining options with special lunch and dinner menus in four pricing tiers: 1 Fork (under $20), 2 Forks ($20-$29), 3 Forks ($30-$39) and 4 Forks ($40+). Wine pairing options will also be available.
“Mississippi Gulf Coast Restaurant Month is part of Hunger Action Month, Feeding America's campaign to motivate local communities to take action to fight hunger,” said Beau Rivage Vice President of Hotel and Food and Beverage Operations Jeff Segan. “By raising awareness and donations, Beau Rivage and other area restaurants will make a difference on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
Beau Rivage is participating in the inaugural Restaurant Month 2016 with prix-fixe three course meals at its three gourmet restaurants BR Prime, Jia and Stalla. Each prix-fixe menu features options between two appetizers, three entrees and two desserts for an affordable three-course meal. Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. BR Prime, Beau Rivage’s premier steakhouse, will offer a $45 prix fixe menu from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Entrees options include Butter Roasted Chuck Iron Steak, Herb Roasted Free Range Chicken or BBQ Gulf Shrimp. Appetizers options include choice of Iceberg Wedge Salad or Roasted Vidalia Onion Soup. Banana Butter Cake or Chocolate Torte dessert will finish off the decadent three-course menu at BR Prime. Reservations can be made using the OpenTable website or app.
Jia, Beau Rivage’s popular Pan-Asian restaurant, will offer a $35 prix-fixe menu from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday through Tuesday. Featured appetizers include TNT Shrimp or a choice of Hot & Sour or Egg Drop Soup. Main course selections feature Dynamite Crusted Corvina, Kung Pao Chicken or Charred Beef Tips. Dessert options include Salted Caramel Cashew Tart or Green Tea Crème Brulee. Jia reservations can be made using the OpenTable website or app.
Stalla, Beau Rivage’s authentic Italian kitchen, will offer a $25 prix-fixe menu from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. For starters, customers are offered Stalla Chopped Salad or Crispy Fried Calamari. Main course options include Pork Osso Bucco, Rigatoni Bolognese or Shrimp Scampi. Dessert choices are Tiramisu or Cannolis. Stalla reservations can be made using the OpenTable website or app.
