BILOXI, Miss. (July 3, 2015) – The Biloxi Shuckers defeated the Mississippi Braves 4-1 last night at MGM Park. The win was witnessed by a record number of 5,216 fans. That number is expected to be topped at tonight’s game with an announcement at 1:49 p.m. EST that tickets were completely sold out. The July 3 game will be followed with a fireworks display. It is also ALS Awareness Night at MGM Park.
Last night's attendance of 5,216 pushes the season total to 41,936 over the first 11 games. Shuckers took a ninth-straight series victory and have won six straight over the Mississippi Braves. Their record is now 48-26 and just one of four teams in Minor League Baseball with 48 wins.
The Shuckers will play in Montgomery July 4-8 and in Tennessee July 9-13 before returning to MGM Park on July 15. Thirty-two regular season home games are scheduled to be played at MGM Park through September 7. Individual game tickets for the Biloxi Shuckers inaugural season are still on sale at the Shuckers Team Store and all Ticketmaster outlets. Same day tickets will also be available for purchase at Beau Rivage Emporium located inside Beau Rivage’s shopping promenade.
Fans may also purchase tickets online 24/7 by going to the Shuckers official website, www.biloxishuckers.com, or to www.ticketmaster.com. Ticketmaster will also accept orders by phone at (800) 745-3000 or at any Ticketmaster outlets (located in Gulf Coast Walmart locations). The Shuckers administrative offices and store are not able to process telephone orders.
