MGM Resorts International's Beau Rivage Awarded AAA Four Diamond Rating for 14th Consecutive Year

Hotel, two restaurants at Beau Rivage receive Four Diamond Award

BILOXI, Miss. – April 25, 2016 – The Automobile Association of America (AAA), one of the country’s most respected authorities on travel and hospitality, has once again awarded Beau Rivage Resort & Casino, the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award. MGM Resorts International’s Mississippi Gulf Coast resort has won the honor every year since 2002.  Beau Rivage restaurants BR Prime and Jia were two of only five restaurants in the state to earn the Four Diamond distinction.

“People make their choices based on information they have, and when they see the Four Diamond Award, they see a clean, safe, well-maintained property with great customer service and a friendly staff,” said Vice President of Hotel Operations Jeff Segan.

The AAA Four Diamond Award represents Beau Rivage’s commitment to excellence and hospitality. Awarded only to those establishments who significantly exceed AAA requirements, Beau Rivage is a part of just 5.7 percent of hotels Approved by AAA to receive the Four Diamond Award.  AAA rates more properties than any other professional rating system and is in its 80th year of conducting inspections and publishing results.

Hotels and restaurants must pass an unannounced, on-site evaluation by AAA inspectors.  According to AAA, the fundamental hallmarks at the Four Diamond Hotel level include a property “refined, stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.” Inspectors judge the exterior of the lodging, public areas, guest rooms, amenities and bathrooms scrutinizing such areas as cleanliness, ambiance and service.  Additional factors of a Four Diamond rating include an “exceptional degree of comfort” and “substantial, cohesive and impressive design.”

In addition to the hotel, Beau Rivage restaurants received AAA top honors.  BR Prime and Jia meet the AAA Four Diamond rating standards of “distinctive fine-dining,” with “creative preparations, skillfully served, often with wine steward and upscale ambience.”  Only 2.3 percent of the nearly 28,000 restaurants Approved by AAA make the Four Diamond list.  Restaurants on the list must meet strict guidelines that represent a combination of the overall food, service, décor and ambiance at an establishment.
