BILOXI, Miss. (Feb. 15, 2016) – Beau Rivage Casino Marketing Analyst Allison Healy recently won the company’s highest honor as she was named 2015 Employee of the Year. Beau Rivage rolled out the red carpet for Employee of the Year nominees during a festive Mardi Gras-themed gala in January.
An Ocean Springs native, Healy completed a Beau Rivage internship in 2011. Soon after, she became a full-time employee and has been employed by Beau Rivage for more than four years. She was nominated and won March 2015 Employee of the Month by Director of Casino Marketing Alyson Smith. “In the world of events and promotions, it’s the norm for other departments, as well as the guests, to know our team,” said Smith. “They provide guest service, run the show, make it exciting for our guest. What many don’t see or know is what happens behind the scenes. The number crunching, projections, player evaluations, tier upgrades, account and offer reviews, identification of trend; the list goes on. Healy does all that and more. She interacts with players in the most respectful manner, always with grace and poise. When things get a little heated or uncomfortable, she continues to display Beau Service. She can be trusted to show effort and care towards them; the company’s culture and standard always in mind,” said Smith.
“I approach every day as a learning experience,” said Healy, “and I look forward to being introduced to new challenges.” Healy received $5,000 and a crystal President’s Award presented by Beau Rivage General Manager Marcus Glover.
Beau Rivage team members were wowed all evening long, from the larger-than-life decorations outside the ballroom entrance to the fine details on each table, including Mardi Gras umbrellas which hung over each table and served as centerpieces. An expansive buffet-style feast of Creole, Cajun and Southern specialties prepared by the Beau Rivage culinary team ensured the night was unforgettable for all in attendance. Vice President of Human Resources Allison Smith Mitchell introduced the nominees in an opening ceremony and each one was recognized for their dedication and demonstration of company values in their respective duties. General Manager Marcus Glover recognized and congratulated the nominees prior to the announcement of Healy as the winner.
Fellow 2015 Employee of the Year Nominees were Security Officer Ollie Powe, Customer Care Coordinator Richard Giardelli, Engineer Bill Malesev, Valet Jimmy Thompson, Lead Baker Punkin Jones, Pit Clerk Claudene Parksinson, Retail Sales Associate Eva Atchison, Security Officer Troy Taillac, Customer Care Coordinator Cathy Riedel, Accounts Payable Clerk Catherine Baldwin and Housekeeping Guest Room Attendant Latisha Green. All nominees received $1,500.
